Fudgo (“we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application (“App”).

1. Information We Collect

When you use Fudgo, we may collect the following information:

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, password, and optional profile details.
  • Seller Information: Store name, product images, descriptions, and prices.
  • Customer Information: Orders you place and delivery details.
  • Rider Information: Account details for delivering orders.

b. Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system, unique identifiers.
  • Usage Data: App interactions, pages visited, features used.
  • Push Notifications Token: To send you real-time updates about orders and deliveries.

c. Permissions and Access

  • Camera & Photos: To allow sellers to upload product images.
  • Media Access: To enable gallery image selection.
  • Notifications: To notify you about order updates and promotions.
  • SMS Auto-fill (Android only): To simplify login/verification using one-time passwords (OTP). We do not read your SMS inbox.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts.
  • Enable order placement, acceptance, preparation, and delivery.
  • Notify sellers when a new order is placed.
  • Notify riders when an order is confirmed by a seller.
  • Notify customers when their order is picked up and on the way.
  • Improve app functionality, security, and user experience.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • With Supabase, our backend service provider, for authentication and database storage.
  • With riders and sellers, to the extent necessary to fulfill an order.
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal request.

4. Data Retention

  • We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for notifications or camera/gallery access.
  • Opt-out of marketing communications.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption and secure connections. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date.

9. How to delete your account

In-app: Go to Profile → Delete my account to initiate deletion. We will delete your account and personal data we’re not legally required to keep. If you have an active order, deletion will be temporarily unavailable until the order is completed or canceled.

What happens to your data:Your authentication account, profile, and device tokens are deleted. Order history may be retained in anonymized form (with direct identifiers removed) where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
